Mom, I'm Bored!

How many times have you heard, "Mom, I'm bored!"? While the summer is a great time for kids, it does get very hard to find things to do to keep them entertained. We thought we'd put a list of ideas together for you to help cure the boredom:

1. Have a water balloon fight

2. Turn on sprinklers and run through the yard

3. Take a nature hike

4. Make a scavenger hunt and send them searching

5. Bake cookies together

6. Nerf gun war

7. Decorate t-shirts with paint pens

8. Picnic in the front yard

9. Have fun with sidewalk chalk

10. Skip rope

11. Hopscotch (draw on driveway with that sidewalk chalk)

12. Go bowling

13. Make a lemonade stand

14. Take the kids fishing

15. Make a fort inside with blankets and chairs

16. Blow bubbles (not gum, but the soap variety)

17. Play board games

18. Miniature Golf

19. Visit a nearby town and see the sights

20. Go swimming and play Marco Polo

21. Find a volunteer opportunity in your area your kids can participate in

22. Catch a movie

23. Walk to the ice cream shop and enjoy a cool treat

24. Make an obstacle course in your back yard

25. Write letters to grandparents, aunts, and uncles - they will be so surprised!

Whatever you do with your kids this summer, enjoy the time as it goes fast!
